Kanazawa Castle in the Winter
This is a shot of Kanazawa Castle located in Kanazawa-shi, Ishikawa-ken, Japan. The castle was originally built in 1583 by Sakuma Morimasa when the Maeda family moved into Kanazawa to establish the Kaga Domain. It has been destroyed and reconstructed several times. Dragon at a Shrine Near Kanazawa Station
Shrines will often have a stone fountain or basin filled with water where visitors are asked to purify themselves before entering. This is done by rinsing the hands and the mouth with the water in an act called Misogi Harai. This is a shot of a dragon adornment on top of the bason at a Shrine Near Kanazawa Station.
